After a couple of years of soul-searching, Reigns signed with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in 2010. No one starts out in the majors, though, with WWE CEO Vince McMahon sending Reigns (using the ring name Roman Leakee) to Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). The kind of "minor league" franchise is owned by the WWE, where talent is developed (via Slam Sports). The Big Dog spent the next two years honing his craft, wrestling all kinds in the region. In 2012, the WWE rebranded FCW to NXT, and Roman Reigns would make his official debut on October 31, 2012 (via PWInsider).
Reigns climbed the ranks of the WWE, winning all sorts of titles along the way. In November 2015, the Big Dog finally captured his first WWE Championship belt. The next three years saw Reigns' stock continue to rise, winning the WWE Championship belt an additional two more times. Life would drastically change for the Big Dog in October 2018, however, when he announced to a packed arena, that he was stepping away from the ring due to leukemia, which was getting the best of him (via The Undefeated).
