Ken Griffin is overseeing the most expensive house build in history. The billionaire hedge-fund manager has decided to enrich the already spectacular landscape in Palm Beach, Florida, with one of the most ambitious builds ever.
Griffin, who as of October 2023 is worth $34,18 billion making him the 38th richest person in the world, plans to invest around $400 million in the construction of an enormous luxury state with a value that could be worth up to $1 billion once completed.
The site covers an area of 20 acres of some of the best and most desirable land in Palm beach and once completed, will take Griffin's land portfolio to 47 acres.
In recent years, the property tycoon and CEO investment manager company Citadel has built luxury property across 27 acres, taking his property portfolio value to around $1 billion.
The new build will take place less than half a mile from "Billionaires' row", officially known as South Ocean Boulevard.
"The vast majority of the properties Ken owns are in South Florida. Palm Beach real estate is among the most valuable in the world because of the pro-growth and pro-business policies voted for by the citizens of Florida," explained one of Griffins spokespeople explained to the New York Post.
