From live-action remakes of, “Aladdin,” “The Lion King,” and, “The Little Mermaid,” to the reboots of, “Hellboy,” “Sabrina,” and most recently the big screen continuation of, “Jumanji,” we think it is fair to say that the last year or so has been full of nostalgia but the confirmation that the cast of The CW’s upcoming, “Charmed,” reboot is now complete may have just sent us over the edge.

In case you have been living under a rock, a reboot of ’90s television show, “Charmed,” is on the way and the line-up of the new Charmed Ones has finally been announced. Although some details of the reboot are still being kept under wraps, such as whether or not it will directly follow on from the cult favourite, we’re really excited about the new cast and we can’t wait to see their chemistry on screen.

Following a mass of speculation over who will step into the shoes of the original Halliwell sisters for the upcoming reboot, The CW recently revealed that the roles had officially been given to Madeleine Mantock, Melonie Diaz, and Sarah Jeffery.

Madeleine Mantock who previously starred on, “Into The Badlands,” and, “The Tomorrow People,” is set to play the part of eldest sister Macy in the reboot. Described as a “practical, driven and brilliant geneticist,” she is the one who will be most rocked by the revelation that she and her sisters are all witches.

“Elementary,” and, “Room 104,” actress Melonie Diaz is confirmed to play the middle sister Mel, who also happens to be an outspoken activist and lesbian.

Sarah Jeffery wraps up the trio of sisters as youngest sibling Madison who is supposedly a “bubbly college freshman,” who isn’t at all happy about her witchy powers which are constantly screwing up her dream of becoming a popular sorority girl.

“Charmed,” follows the story of three sisters who live in a college town and then realise that they are all witches following the tragic death of their mother.

Written by Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin, and produced by, “Jane the Virgin,” show runner Jennie Snyder Urman and executive producer Ben Silverman, we are both excited and intrigued to see what new life the upcoming reboot will breathe into the original show.
