On November 20, 1989, Mama Cax was born in Brooklyn, New York. Then she relocated to Haiti, where she was raised. At fourteen years old, she received a diagnosis of lung cancer and osteosarcoma. Her doctors also only gave her three weeks to live.

She lost her right leg after a botched hip replacement two years later. Even after the defeat, she persisted. Years passed before she fully recovered and regained her self-worth. She also finished her international relations master’s degree.

Mama Cax’s Cause of Death: In December 2019, Cax was taken to the Royal London Hospital. She had blood clots in her lungs and excruciating discomfort in her abdomen. Sadly, on December 16, 2019, she passed away in the hospital.

During a commercial campaign in 2017, Cax made her television debut. She quickly agreed to a contract with New York City’s JAG Models modeling agency. Additionally, Cax has strutted the catwalks for well-known people and companies including Chromat and Rihanna.

She had previously done commercial work for renowned fashion houses like Sephora and Tommy Hilfiger. In 2018, Cax graced the New York Fashion Week runways. In a similar vein, she had shared a cover with Chelsea Werner and Jillian Mercado for Teen Vogue.
