Days before their remix is scheduled to debut, BTS and Steve Aoki meet up to discuss all things from their collaboration, BTS’ upcoming Ellen Show appearance, to Steve Aoki’s clothing line.

On Snapchat, Aoki posted a few clips of himself and the seven members of the K-Pop group – RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook – hanging out in his hotel room. While entering, BTS member J-Hope can be heard saying, “Hey! Our friend, Aoki!”

Aoki starts by telling the group about his recent concert in Mexico where over 150,000 fans attended. He also shows them his new tattoo that reads “I’ll sleep when I’m dead” and jokes that he should get a “Mic Drop” tattoo – a nod to the guys’ collaboration together with rapper Desiigner.

The BTS guys then talk about their upcoming appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where they are scheduled to perform live today, on November 21st, with the episode airing a week later on the 27th. The episode is confirmed to be the first televised performance of BTS’ “Mic Drop” remix.

Aoki then invites the seven members to his Las Vegas home, which is famous for having a foam pit. The guys are eager to visit his house, and jokingly call Aoki “Uncle Steve.”

Lastly, the guys all take notice of Steve Aoki’s jacket from Vision Streat Wear, a clothing brand which Aoki announced a partnership with back in August. He tells the guys they can have the jacket, and promises to send them more pieces from the collection in the future. The BTS members then play a game of rock-paper-scissors to see who gets to keep the jacket.

Aoki and BTS first met back in May, when the boy band was in Los Angeles to accept their Billboard Music Award for Top Social Artist. Now months after their first encounter, BTS came back to LA to make their live U.S. television debut on the American Music Awards on Monday, November 19th. It was the first time a K-Pop boy band ever performed on the show.

Their performance was not only ranked one of the best of the night by outlets such as Billboard, Entertainment Tonight, and the New York Post but it also earned the group a spot in the 2018 Guinness World Records for having the most Twitter engagements by a music group. Immediately following their performance, the term “BTS” also became the #1 search term on Google.

While BTS is scheduled to return to South Korea again soon, American fans can expect to see the group’s episodes for The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Late Late Show With James Corden sometime next week.

BTS and Steve Aoki’s English-Korean remix of “Mic Drop” with Desiigner will be released on Friday, November 24th. You can watch the teaser by clicking here.
