has not been a fan of the way The Judgment Day have been handling things with Edge, her real-life husband. Whether or not she’ll step into the ring to do anything about it, though, will remain to be seen.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio recently, Phoenix was asked whether or not the superstar would ever step into the ring against Rhea Ripley as part of this feud. According to Phoenix, the answer isn’t simple, and depends on how things go in WWE.
“This is the answer everyone hates; we’ll have to see,” said Phoenix with a laugh. “I don’t know. With wrestling, I take it one day at a time. Everything changes, anything can happen. That’s a young lady I have loved watching grow and flourish and thrive. Adam’s [Edge] promo was a shoot. The intention of having Rhea, Damian Priest, and Finn Balor from the start was to give three talents that deserve to be at the top of the heap that platform. They also have to shine on that platform. We saw Damian Priest kick ass on Monday.”
As far as Ripley’s participation in The Judgment Day’s attacks against Edge, Phoenix was not a fan of watching Ripley hit a low-blow against her husband earlier this week on WWE Raw, saying that it “pissed” her off and that she would be holding a grudge.
“Rhea Ripley is stepping up and standing out like she deserves,” Phoenix said. “I’m not really happy about the ball shot. I want to say nice things, but that pissed me off. I hold a grudge, deep in my heart. Whether or not I get to exact some revenge remains to be seen. I’d love to see it happen.”
"That REALLY pissed me off…"?
